Sculpture 1: Wheel Throwing
During the second half of Sculpture 1 students will have the opportunity to begin throwing on the potter's wheel. During this short time students are not expected to learn the intricacies of wheel throwing. Rather, students should gain practice centering, opening, and raising sides. Students who are able to successfully create a cylinder by the end of the class will be fully prepared for more advanced techniques taught in Sculpture 2. Students that wish to spend more time on the potter's wheel outside of class should see Mr. Lamp.
