October 7-11This week we will begin two units that will overlap due to limits on who can do what when! We also have to wait for the sun to cooperate with us on the one unit.
Tuesday: Introduction to Cyanotype & Photograms Cyanotype Research Page Photogram Research Page Thursday: Finish Wiki research and begin to edit images for a good Cyanotype digital negative. Save negative images in Share Drive as directed to get yours printed. October 14-18Monday: Continue working to finalize Cyanotype wiki research page. Introduce the Portraits Wiki research Page. Demonstration on the process for how to make a Cyanotype print. Work day to do the above.
Wednesday: Continue working on the Wiki research for Cyanotype and Portrait. Continue editing cyanotype negative and get printed. Print an actual cyanotype print using the light box since it is raining. |
October 21-25Tuesday: Presentation on how to create quality portraits. Continue portrait research on Wiki. Continue making cyanotype prints outside or in depending on the weather.
Thursday: Class photoshoot in the Art Room on portraits. Goal is to create a work of art not just a snapshot. Demonstration on use of tripods, lights and umbrellas for maximum quality portraits. Continue to work on wiki portrait research....should be done by the end of this week. Continue Making Cyanotype prints too. October 28-November 1Monday: Continue working on shooting portraits, editing portraits, printing cyanotypes and prepping for the Bridge Check on Wednesday. Make sure your Portrait wiki research is complete and the Cyanotype wiki research.
Wednesday: Bridge Check on Portrait. See Portrait Unit for details or the Google calendar. Continue editing portraits, printing cyanotypes. All wiki research should be done. Friday: Start printing portraits if ready. Continue printing cyanotypes. Portraits and Cyanotypes are due for critique on Monday, November 11th. All prints must be mounted. |
